Head of the Political Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Counselor Haider Sultan, met with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Baghdad, Elbrus Kutrashev, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during the meeting, the possibility of bilateral cooperation in the field of cultural diplomacy, exchange of experiences and visits, and holding joint workshops between the political planning departments in both countries were discussed, in addition to joint cultural and scientific cooperation.

For his part, the Russian Ambassador renewed the invitation sent by the Political Planning Department in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to its counterpart in the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
