Baghdad, The Iraqi Ambassador to Ankara, Majid Al-Lajmawi, met today, Tuesday, with the Undersecretary of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yassin Akram Sirm, in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the capital, Ankara. During the meeting, according to a statement by the Embassy, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed. The Ambassador stressed the importance of strengthening economic and trade cooperation ties and other fields, to enhance joint relations and to the mutual benefit of the two countries and friendly peoples and to achieve common security and stability. For his part, the Undersecretary of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed his country's support for the security and stability of Iraq, and the desire to strengthen and develop bilateral relations in areas of common interest, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the two countries and friendly peoples.
