Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid discussed Sunday with UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Iraq and Head of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) Mohamed Al Hassan:eneral’s Special Representative for Iraq and Head of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) Mohamed Al Hassan, efforts to support sustainable development in the country and ways to beef up bilateral cooperation.

According to Qatar News Agency, Rashid stressed the importance of the role played by the international mission in supporting development in Iraq and facing current challenges, noting Iraq’s keenness to expand cooperation with the UN and its affiliated organizations.

For his part, the UN envoy affirmed UNAMI’s endeavor to provide assistance to Iraq in the development, education, and humanitarian fields, in a manner that consolidates the foundations of constructive cooperation between the two sides.
