The Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Safiya Talib Al-Suhail, met with the Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs, General Supervisor of the Ministry's Agency for Public Diplomacy Affairs, Ambassador Abdul Rahman Al-Rassi. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "Al-Suhail and Al-Rassi discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of multilateral international relations." The two sides discussed the importance of intensifying coordination between Iraq and Saudi Arabia in international organizations and regional forums, to achieve common interests and enhance the role of the two countries on the international scene. The talks also addressed mechanisms to support mutual nominations in international institutions, which contributes to enhancing the presence of Iraq and Saudi Arabia in international decisions and files of common interest.
