The Amman Chamber of Industry announced an increase in its exports to Iraq during the past eight months of the current year. The chamber said in a report; "The chamber's exports during those eight months reached 4.552 billion Jordanian dinars, compared to 4.739 billion Jordanian dinars for the same period in 2023." It added that "four Arab and foreign countries accounted for more than half of the chamber's exports during the past eight months of the current year, namely: the United States of America, Iraq, India and Saudi Arabia, recording a value of 2.896 billion dinars." According to statistical data, the chamber's exports to the United States of America increased during the past eight months of the current year by 53.2%, recording 1.199 billion dinars, making it the leading Arab and foreign country that receives the most exports from Amman. The Chamber's exports to Iraq increased during the past eight months of this year by 10.8%, recording a value of about 609 million dinars, compared to 549 million d inars during the same period last year 2023. The Chamber's exports during the past eight months of this year were distributed among the sectors of chemical industries and cosmetics with a value of 1.102 billion dinars, mining about 947 million dinars, and engineering, electrical and information technology about 712 million dinars. According to statistical data, exports of the sectors of food, agricultural and livestock industries amounted to about 521 million dinars, medical and medical supplies about 448 million dinars, and leather and knitwear 350 million dinars. The rest of Jordanian industrial exports during the past eight months of the current year were distributed among the sectors of plastic and rubber industries, with a value of 201 million dinars, packaging, paper, cardboard and office supplies, with a value of 181 million dinars, construction, with a value of 76 million dinars, and wood and furniture industries, with a value of 14 million dinars.
