Dozens of Kirkuk Arabs demonstrated in front of the governorate building, demanding that Arabs retain the position of governor, as they are the largest in the governorate council and have succeeded in managing the governorate since the imposition of the law in 2017. Nazim Al-Shammari, Secretary-General of the Arab Opinion Authority, said: "The Arabs obtained six seats in the Kirkuk Council, and they are the majority, and they succeeded in managing the governorate and did not witness any incidents, assassinations, marginalization or exclusion."
