Kuwait city: Kuwait's National Guard said early Wednesday that its task force had shot down one UAV and five drones within the areas under its protection.
According to Qatar News Agency, Brigadier General Dr. Jadaan Fadhel, the National Guard's official spokesperson, stated in a press release that the action is part of ongoing efforts to enhance security, protect vital sites, and counter potential threats.
Earlier in the night, Kuwait's Civil Aviation Authority reported that drones had targeted a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport, sparking a fire. The authority added that preliminary reports indicated only material damage and no casualties.
