Beirut: The Lebanese Army said that it has implemented security measures in response to the sporadic gunfire clashes that have occurred on the Lebanese-Syrian border over the past two days.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese Army issued a statement on Wednesday, stating: “In light of recent events along the Lebanese-Syrian border and following coordination between Lebanese and Syrian authorities to prevent further escalation, army units have begun implementing security measures in the Hosh Al Sayyed Ali – Hermel area. These measures include patrol deployments to maintain security and stability along the border region.”
