Manama, Mirna Khawly, Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of Lebanon to Bahrain, said that Bahrain presents a model of coexistence, peace, and respect for Arab values and identity, which adds to the importance to the holding of the 33rd Arab Summit in the kingdom. Mirna Khawly said in an interview with Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that Bahrain's policy of openness, dialogue, and acceptance, guided by the wise approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, forms the basis of the distinguished relations between Bahrain and the member states of the Arab League. This approach is contributes to overcoming obstacles and creating a common ground for resolving any differences in viewpoints, she said. Khawla lauded the active role of Bahrain in supporting Arab joint action, enhancing dialogue and understanding between Arab countries, in addition to effective engagement in joint Arab work. Khawly pointed out that the convening of the Arab Summit at this time and in light of the current circumstances in the region and the world, gives it additional importance in terms of coordinating Arab positions towards Arab and international issues, especially the Palestinian issue, which is on top of the summit's agenda. The Lebanese Embassy's Chargé D'Affaires stated that Bahrain's hosting the Arab Summit for the first time is an historic event, reflecting the Kingdom's keenness under the leadership of HM the King, to enhance the values of peace and human coexistence to push forward the efforts of comprehensive development in the Arab countries, which has been a meeting point of civilizations for a long time. Marina Khawly, expressed her hopes that the Bahrain Summit will unite Arabs to achieve prosperity for the region's people and future.
