Beirut, Lebanon's Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdallah Bou Habib met Tuesday with Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri who is currently visiting the country. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and regional issues, especially the situation in southern Lebanon and the war on Gaza. The two sides also agreed on an initiative to hold an emergency meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries as a joint proposal to take a firm, collective step regarding stopping the Israeli aggression on Gaza. Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri met earlier with Iran's Acting Foreign Minister. The meeting discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region in light of Israel's continued aggression against the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, in addition to bilateral relations.
