Manama Capital of Arab Media 2024 reflects Bahrain’s media freedom strides, BJA Chairman

Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) Chairman Isa Al Shaiji hailed the selection of Manama as 2024 Capital of Arab Media by the Arab Information Ministers’ Council.

He indicated that the choice of Manama reflects Bahrain's press and media strides within the development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

In a statement today, Al Shaiji commended the efforts of the Ministry of Information, led by Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Alnoaimi, which earned Bahrain this Arab media achievement.

He also recognized the efforts of Bahrain’s media in defending just Arab issues, and stressed the commitment of the press community to contribute to the success of Manama 2024 Capital of Arab Media.
