Damascus, Minister of Education, Mohammad Amer Mardini , discussed with Head of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR )Maria Stavropoulou, prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides, especially in the field of supporting educational process programs related to compensation for educational losses and psychosocial support. During the meeting, which was held in the ministry building in Damascus, Mardini reviewed the efforts of the Ministry of Education to compensate for educational losses and encourage students to return to school and rehabilitate schools, especially after the earthquake that occurred last year, pointing out the importance of coordination to develop cooperation in various educational fields. For her part, Stavropoulou referred to the plan in the regard of training and rehabilitation of a number of schools affected by the earthquake, and compensation for educational losses, adding the necessity of strengthening cooperation to meet educational needs.
