The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received today, Wednesday, the French Ambassador to Iraq, Patrick Dorrell. A statement by the regional government stated that during the meeting, the latest developments and developments related to the general situation in Iraq were discussed, and ways to enhance relations between the two sides were discussed. The meeting also witnessed an exchange of views on the preparations taken to hold the legislative elections in the Kurdistan Region, as the two parties agreed on the necessity of holding free and fair elections under international supervision and away from any violations.
