Nouakchott, The Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Kingdom of Spain signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on circular migration and a joint declaration of intent on the fight against organised crime. HE Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of Mauritania, Chairperson of the African Union (AU), and HE Pedro Sánchez, Prime Minister of Spain, were present. The MoU aims to establish a framework for cooperation between the two countries to address issues of common interest in the field of migration, through the implementation of a pilot project for the selection of Mauritanian workers in the country of origin, Mauritanian News Agency (AMI) reported.
