The Maysan Operations Command organized a security campaign to secure protection for the towers and power transmission stations.

The Maysan Operations Command leadership said in a statement, a copy of which the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received: "A military force from the Operations Command has secured the necessary protection for the towers within the responsibility sector, and has also secured the necessary protection for the Maysan Electricity Department in order to remove electrical encroachments in the province in order to prevent any criminal attempts to target electricity stations in the province.
