MCIT and IPA Qatar Sign MoU with Amazon Web Services

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (IPA Qatar) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Amazon Web Services, the global leader in cloud computing, on the sidelines of the Qatar Economic Forum 2022, held in Doha powered by Bloomberg.

The MoU was signed by HE Mrs. Reem Mohammed Al Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Society Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, HE Sheikh Ali Bin Alwaleed Al Thani, the Chief Executive Officer of IPA Qatar, and Amazon Web Services’ Head of Public Sector for the Middle East Mr. Faisal Mian.

Commenting on the MoU, HE Mrs. Reem Mohamed Al Mansoori said: "MCIT, is pleased to lead the efforts of the State of Qatar towards digital transformation and rapid technological development". She added: "The MoU between MCIT and IPA Qatar with one of the World's leading companies in the field of technology, the digital sector, and smart solutions comes within the framework of the commitment to developing this sector in the country by benefiting from international experiences and expertise".
