Neal Maupay opened the scoring for Marseille in the 24th minute, followed by a second goal from Mason Greenwood in the 61st minute. Tino Kadewere scored Nantes' lone goal in the 39th minute. According to Qatar News Agency, with this win, Marseille jumped from fifth to second place with 20 points, edging Monaco on goal difference. Paris Saint-Germain leads the standings with 26 points, while Nantes remains in 14th place with 10 points.
