The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), will organize a digital forum on Tuesday under the title "Big Data: How Small and Medium Enterprises can benefit from it".
The forum aims to introduce participants to the basic concepts, requirements and challenges of big data, present examples of data policies from the Arab region and beyond, and discuss best regional and international practices in developing big data policies.
It also highlights a number of selected applications that have been developed based on this technology, to help policy makers develop sound evidence-based plans, in addition to discussing the Ministry's plans and initiatives to develop big data policies and applications.
The forum, which is held remotely, includes three discussion sessions focusing on the concepts of big data, challenges, policies, impact, frameworks and applications of big data.
