Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Dr. Muhammad Ali Tamim, received today, Wednesday, the Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, President of the Arab Journalists Union, Moayad Al-Lami. During the meeting, according to a statement by his media office, the role of the Iraqi press in supporting development projects was discussed, especially the general population and housing census project, scheduled to be conducted on November 20. The Minister stressed that the role of Iraqi journalists is pivotal and essential in supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Planning in conducting the population census project, which will contribute to drawing a new map of the development reality and a clear future economic vision, according to the accurate data that the census will provide, praising the role of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in supporting national and development issues in Iraq. The meeting also discussed possible ways to support print newspapers by publishing advertisements, and the Minister directed that the necessary measures be taken to facilitate the work of journalists and provide support to the press.
