Qatar University (QU) and the Ministry of Defense signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that includes cooperation, coordination, and participation between the two parties in their relevant fields and expertise. The MoU aims to provide necessary support for the initiatives and projects of the Qatar Armed Forces, including benefiting from the University’s educational programs and technical strategic research, such as in electrical engineering, communications, computer science and its many branches, information and security systems and remote sensing, provided by QU, its colleges and its research centers.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Omar Al Ansari, Vice President for Academic Affairs, on behalf of QU and Brigadier Eng. Abdulaziz Falah Al Dosari, representing the Ministry of Defense. The MoU provides area for cooperation in education, innovation, technological and engineering development and technical strategic studies, in accordance with the requirements of the Qatar Armed Forces.
