Ministry of Justice confirms its readiness to cooperate with diplomatic missions regarding visits for Arab and foreign detainees

The Director General of the Department of Justice Relations, representing the Ministry of Justice, participated in the first consular cooperation forum held by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of representatives of diplomatic missions and a number of representatives of ministries with work related to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The representative of Justice said in a speech at the forum: 'The development of diplomatic relations with the countries of the world reflects, without a doubt, the success of Iraq's foreign policy, and that the Ministry of Justice is an important bridge for communication with Arab and foreign ambassadors, by facilitating consular visits to Arab and foreign detainees in the departments of the Iraqi Department of reform. He added, "The Judicial Relations Department worked to identify points of contact between it and the Iraqi Correctional Department for the purpose of quickly fulfilling requests for visiting inmates by missions. The appr oval of the Minister of Justice Khaled Shawani was also obtained for the visits to be monthly," stressing the Ministry's readiness to cooperate with the ambassadors and representatives of missions in this regard, given that this issue concerns Iraq's international reputation.'
