The head of the Social Protection Authority, one of the departments of the Ministry of Labor and social affairs, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, discussed with the UNICEF delegation the final procedures for launching the conditional cash assistance project (Cash Plus) in Muthanna Governorate. Al-Moussawi said: "The aim of the project is to urge families covered by social assistance in the governorate to adhere to vaccinations for pregnant women and children under the age of two," noting that "there is coordination with health centers in the governorate to follow up on marking their attendance to take vaccinations according to the specified dates for disbursing the conditional cash assistance amounts to them with the social assistance amount." During the meeting, the final procedures for transferring the experimental conditional assistance amount planned to be implemented in the governorate were also discussed, as well as the mechanism for marking and disbursing the amounts paid to the project with the social assistance amount and training workers on this project in health centers to mark review dates according to the vaccination schedule.
