The Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with Ministry of Public Health and Qatar Red Crescent, conducted on Thursday an awareness workshop for motorcycle drivers in delivery companies to introduce them to the Ministry's e-services, raise their awareness on preventing workplace injuries and heat stress, and enhance their road safety awareness. The workshop comes as part of the Ministry of Labour's efforts, in collaboration with partners, to raise awareness among delivery drivers of the need to adhere to the safe driving guidelines and rules, use the right lane of the road, and following the necessary rules to prevent work injuries and heat-related diseases. During the session, representatives from the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Health and Qatar Red Crescent taught the workers how utilize the Ministry of Labour's e-services, emphasized the new services launched by the Ministry and stressed the importance of following traffic rules and driving safely in all types of road areas. Drivers were also given s olutions to their queries and taught on preventing heat stress risks and proper first aid techniques for injuries both at work and in homes. The course is one of several awareness seminars and workshops conducted by the Ministry of Labour as part of the 'Towards a Safe Work Environment' campaign.
