Doha: The Ministry of Public Health announced today the working hours in the public healthcare sector during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. The ministry confirmed that emergency and inpatient services at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) hospitals, along with Pediatric Emergency Centers, will maintain 24/7 operations throughout the holiday. Additionally, ambulance services will continue around the clock to ensure public health and safety.
According to Qatar News Agency, 20 out of 31 health centers affiliated with the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will remain operational during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. Urgent care services will be available 24/7 at 12 health centers, with six designated specifically for pediatric urgent care cases. The Ministry of Public Health has instructed all government health institutions to disclose detailed working hours for their services during the holiday period.
The ministry also specified the working hours for several of its service departments during the Eid break. The Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad Department will accommodate visitors at the Ministry of Public Health building from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, excluding the first day of Eid, Fridays, and Saturdays. Meanwhile, the Newborn Registration Office at the Women’s Wellness and Research Center will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm during the Eid holiday, except on the first day of Eid, Friday, and Saturday.
Moreover, the Death Registration Unit will be available throughout the Eid Al-Fitr holiday at the Unified Humanitarian Services Office from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. The ministry emphasized that the unified healthcare sector call center (16000) will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to address any inquiries or healthcare needs during this period.
