Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Empowerment Department, launched the third edition of the “From the Homeland” Ramadan Bazaar for the year 2025. The event took place at the Museum of Islamic Art Park and was attended by HE Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi.
According to Qatar News Agency, this edition, held in collaboration with the Museum of Islamic Art and supported by the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund, featured wide participation from owners of national productive projects. The Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs, Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al-Thani, highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to supporting productive projects by providing a conducive and sustainable environment for project owners.
The Ministry is focused on continuous coordination with relevant authorities to facilitate product marketing and offer comprehensive support to develop these projects. This initiative aims to empower community members to achieve economic independence and contribute to the national economy. Fatima Al Nuaimi, Director of the Family Empowerment Department, emphasized the significance of allocating a special family day to enhance social ties. The “Garangao Market,” held alongside the bazaar, aims to preserve popular heritage and enhance national identity, aligning with the holy month’s atmosphere.
This edition stands out as a “family day” was designated for Ministry and Museum employees and their children to engage in interactive workshops and competitions, fostering community interaction. The bazaar also featured participation from youth initiatives and young entrepreneurs, with about 22 productive projects, 3 youth projects, and 3 youth initiatives, showcasing diverse participation.
The “From the Homeland” bazaar, spanning six days in the Museum of Islamic Art’s garden, is a prominent event organized by the Ministry during Ramadan. It aims to enhance community partnership through collaboration with the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund and to raise awareness about the significance of productive projects. The bazaar provides a platform to support and empower project owners and helps open new marketing avenues to bring products to market.
