The Ministry of Youth and Sports has settled the controversy over the entry of Iraqi fans into brotherly Kuwait to attend the match between our national team and its Kuwaiti counterpart in the World Cup qualifiers. Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Al-Mubarqa said today, Thursday, 'We will address the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to officially approach the Kuwaiti side, to find out the validity of the statements regarding the entry of Iraqi fans into Kuwait.' He explained, 'Coordination will be made with the Iraqi Football Association to unify positions and work similarly regarding the entry of fans.' Social media sites and platforms circulated a statement attributed to the head of the Kuwaiti Federation, Haif Al-Mutairi, in which he said that 'Kuwait allows only 200 Iraqi fans to enter to attend the match between the two teams in the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup."
