Head of the Union of Arab Journalists and Head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayyad Al-Lami, offered his condolences to the journalistic family on the passing of our colleague, 'Ban Al-Qabtan,' a member of the Council of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, who passed away today, Friday, after a struggle with illness. Al-Lami wrote, in a tweet, 'Today we lost a fine human being, a distinguished journalist, and a successful administrator, our colleague Ban Al-Qabtan, a member of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate Council, who passed away following an incurable illness that did not give her long life.' Al-Lami added, 'The deceased was great in everything, in her morals, generosity, and assistance to others, including her colleagues and all citizens, especially since she was a former Director General in one of the ministries. A tribute to her generous spirit as she departs from us to the presence of a generous God. My sincere condolences to her family, her colleagues, and to everyone who was close to her, and to God we belong and to Him we shall return. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
