Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) hosted a trade delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, representing the Export Development Authority, on Wednesday to discuss enhancing cooperation in trade and investment.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting included Assistant Undersecretary for Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ayed Manahi Al Qahtani, and Executive Vice President of the Services Exports Sector at the Saudi Export Development Authority, Saud bin Hamad Al Qablan, along with specialists from both sides. The discussions emphasized the strong economic ties between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, focusing on joint efforts to align with the national visions of both countries.
The meeting covered a range of priority initiatives aimed at achieving trade integration and developing a conducive joint investment environment. This collaboration seeks to open new avenues for partnerships between the private sectors in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, the talks explored ways to bolster the services export sector and foster partnerships between public and private sectors. Opportunities in consulting and digital transformation were highlighted as key areas for potential collaboration.
Both parties reiterated the importance of supporting the private sector and exploring commercial partnerships that align with the aspirations of businesspeople in both countries.
