The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) celebrated the graduation of 77 female students from the first batch of Qatar Technical Secondary School for Girls, which aimed to prepare and train students technically to keep pace with scientific and practical disciplines and qualifications, and to provide them to all professional sectors in the State of Qatar to serve the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at MOEHE Maha Zayed Al Ruwaili.
Qatar Technical School is the first specialized technical girls’ school in Qatar. It was launched by the MOEHE during the academic year 2020-2021.
Qatar Technical Secondary School for Girls offers 3 different specializations to provide equal opportunities for male and female students in promising technical fields. These specializations are the electronics and communications major, which provides students the Australian TAFE program. The world-famous IT specialty adopts a curriculum from the well-known Microsoft company and the laboratory technician specialization, which also assumes the TIFF program.
Through its distinguished curricula and the quality of its education, the school contributes to efforts to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030, especially in terms of human development, investing in people, and ensuring the best quality of education.
On this occasion, Principal of Qatar Technical Secondary School for Girls Rosa Awaidha Al Nuaimi expressed her pride in graduating the first batch of students, which is considered the harvest of years of sincere work, saying, “God bears witness that we have not spared any of them throughout their academic career. We have been keen to nourish their minds with all that benefits them from systematic sciences and to purify their souls with values and principles that promote their humanity.” Al Nuaimi added: “All the school’s various resources and its specialized administrative and teaching staff have been harnessed to care, qualify and develop these female technical cadres. It is no secret that the ultimate goal is to achieve partnership and integration in all sectors.. linking students to the work environment and activate what has been studied.” Dana Fahad Al Maamari delivered a speech on behalf of her fellow graduates, highlighting their graduates’ experience and the support they’ve gotten from the school.
Early technical education encourages students to study scientific disciplines, develop their skills before university, excel during university studies, and excel through theoretical and applied research.
