HE Ms. Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, has launched the national e-learning strategy.
The strategy aims to make a qualitative leap in adopting advanced e-learning methodologies and modern educational technologies to raise education outcomes while ensuring the provision of e-learning basics to all parties to the educational process. Four main strategic objectives and a number of initiatives and performance indicators emerged from the strategy to achieve the desired goal of e-learning.
HE Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), and Chairman of the Steering Committee of the National E-Learning Strategy Project, stressed that the State of Qatar, under the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, is keen to raise educational efficiency by preparing and qualifying teachers. This is in order to adopt modern technology in the field of teaching and assessment, and Qatar was one of the first countries to introduce e-learning into its academic system, as he said.
In this context, Mr. Al Nuaimi pointed out that the education and training sector strategy (2018-2022) and the Ministry’s plans include many initiatives and programs for raising the capabilities of teachers and students in the field of modern technologies.
