Director of the Human Resources Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), Abdul-Aziz Al-Kaabi, announced the opening of employment for the new year in early February. He noted that vacancies in all specialties are still being counted by the education sector, so that they can be announced in the coming period, as the ministry works to attract the best educational cadres to work in state schools. "The ministry seeks to increase the number of teaching positions in all state schools, with 179 male and female teachers appointed this year from among the national staff," he said.

Regarding the recruitment procedures for Qatari teachers, Al Kaabi explained that a list of graduates from the University of Qatar and the Local University of Qatari Students is received, and we are conducting their own interviews to work on filling the vacancy. If the vacancy is not filled by "national staff" as needed, local interviews for other Arab cadres will be conducted, and then external interviews for some of these specialties will be conducted.

Al-Kaabi said there are 4,751 Qatari teachers in all state schools, with 301 teachers in all academic specialties, and 4,450 teachers. He added national staff have proven their ability to work academically at all levels.
