The Ministry of Interior (MOI) issued, in a tweet on its official Twitter account yesterday, a statement regarding the terms and conditions of installing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 logo on the vehicle number plates.

MOI said in this statement that the plates containing the World Cup logo are a special version and are issued according to specific terms and conditions, in coordination with FIFA, for newly registered vehicles, and for auctioned special number plates only.

MOI noted that it shall be prohibited to copy and install the World Cup logo on the vehicle number plates and anyone who violates this will be subject to legal accountability.
