The Ministry of Justice (MOJ), yesterday, granted eleven jurists from the Ministry of Interior (MOI) a license of an authorized notary, which allows them to practice documentation work at their workplaces in the ministry, including doing some documentation work related to contracts and power of attorneys. Authorized notaries will use the authentication seal of the Ministry of Justice.

The authorized notaries were sworn in before HE Mr. Masoud bin Muhammad Al Ameri, Minister of Justice. This came as part of the Ministry’s efforts to activate Law No. (3) of 2017 amending some provisions of Law No. (9) of 1979 regarding authentication. According to this law, by a decision of the Minister of Justice, it is permissible to authorize some persons, who are not employees of the Authentication Department at the Ministry, to carry out all or some of the documentation tasks, outside MOJ headquarters.
