MOL Organizes Workshop on Key Hazards in Workplace Environment

Doha: The Ministry of Labour (MOL), in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Swedish Work Environment Authority (SWEA), organized a workshop focusing on key occupational hazards in workplaces. The event was part of an ongoing partnership aimed at enhancing occupational safety and health, sharing expertise, and improving workplace environments.

According to Qatar News Agency, the workshop was attended by Hamad Faraj Al Dalmook, Assistant Undersecretary for Migrant Labour Affairs at MOL. The initiative aimed to train occupational safety and health administration inspectors, enhancing their understanding of significant occupational risks and methods to manage them. The training was designed to mitigate negative impacts on productivity.

The workshop addressed protection against Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) through ergonomics, proper inspection techniques, and risk assessment methodologies. Additionally, it explored mechanisms to enforce preventive measures that protect workers from occupational diseases linked to the workplace environment.
