More than 17,000 security personnel to serve Arbaeen visitors in Najaf

The Arbaeen Pilgrimage Operations Room at the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali held a coordination meeting with its counterpart in Najaf Governorate to discuss the latest preparations for receiving visitors during the Arbaeen Pilgrimage on the twentieth of Safar. The head of the operations room at the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, Osama al-Baghdadi, confirmed in a statement reported by the news center: "All service, security and health agencies are working in an integrated manner to provide the best services to visitors, whether inside or outside the old city, pointing to the participation of more than 2,000 volunteers and the opening of seven medical detachments in and outside the old city to provide medical and treatment services to visitors." In turn, the Najaf Police Commander, Major General Alaa Jaber, said, 'The security forces, in all their formations, have been mobilized by equipping about 17,000 members of the Interior Ministry and 4,000 from the Border Guard as a supporting forces, in addition to the readiness of more than 3,000 fighters from the Imam Ali (PBUH) Combat Division in the Popular Mobilization Forces, Civil Defense, Traffic, and the security agencies affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali to provide protection and smooth movement for visitors.
