Morocco affirms full support for Saudi bid to host 2034 World Cup

The Kingdom of Morocco has affirmed its full support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's desire to bid for hosting the final stages of the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

This support stems from the strong bonds connecting His Majesty King Mohammed VI, with His brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) quoted Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates as saying in a statement.

Under the leadership of His Majesty the King, Morocco is fully convinced of the ability of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to host this major sporting event, given the country's overall development progress and its recognized organisational capabilities, the statement concluded.
