Manama, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, the Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture, conducted a field inspection covering a number of areas to closely monitor the progress of the emergency teams' work in managing rainfall accumulations. The rain emergency teams are distributed across the four governorates as planned to treat rainwater accumulations in internal roads, in villages, residential neighborhoods, in front of hospitals, schools, and service centers. The Minister commended the teams' dedicated efforts in minimising the impacts of unsettled weather, whether resulting in tree falls, billboard collapses, or other incidents. The Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture highlighted the significant role played by the municipal councils in monitoring rainwater accumulation remediation efforts. The Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture has formed emergency teams comprising the Capital Governorate Municipality and the three other municipalities (Muharraq, Northern, and Southern), to visit sites and identify required action, aiming for immediate response to any rainwater accumulation. Additionally, the ministry has worked on updating data regularly while developing the action plan and distributing suction vehicles and equipment for rainwater removal. Source: Bahrain News Agency
