Nakilat Wins “Sword of Honour” by British Safety Council

Nakilat has been recently awarded the "Sword of Honour" by the British Safety Council. This is the fourth consecutive year Nakilat has been recognized with this prestigious award, which is presented to companies and institutions that have demonstrated outstanding performance in the management of health, safety and environmental risks in workplace. It is noteworthy that Nakilat is a Qatari shipping company established in 2004, which constitutes the essential transportation link in the State of Qatar's Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) supply chain.

Commenting on this awarding, Engineer Abdullah Al Sulaiti, Nakilat Chief Executive, said that "the health, safety and well-being of our employees and subcontractors are paramount to our business."

He explained that during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Company has taken extensive health and safety measures and continued the implementation of our Injury and Incident Free campaign in order to embed a culture of zero harm. Moreover, the Company has continued to embed a role model for commitment to the implementation of operational processes in accordance with the highest international standards, and the effective management of health, safety, environment and well-being in all workplaces, as he added.
