The Ministry of Works and the Nasser Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research and Development Centre have agreed to step up their cooperation in adopting future technologies by exchanging knowledge and using AI solutions in their research and development efforts, which will reflect positively on their projects.
CEO of the Nasser AI Research and Development Centre, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi affirmed that the research centre aims to develop smart solutions in order to turn the kingdom into a smart country, by promoting the use of AI technologies in the public and private sectors, especially with the Works Ministry to implement AI Technologies in infrastructure and increase the efficiency of operational processes through forecasting, sensing, monitoring, computer vision, and building simulations in virtual reality.
Shaikh Mishaal bin Mohammad Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Works Ministry, said that cooperation between the two sides is in line with the government's directives to avail; of artificial intelligence systems, digital transformation, and smart cities to improve infrastructure and public services, following Bahrain Economic Vision 2023.
