Doha: The National Service Academy football team emerged victorious in the HH the Commander-in-Chief Cup for the 2024-2025 season, securing a 2-0 win against the Joint Special Forces team in the final match held at Al Duhail SC’s Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
According to Qatar News Agency, the victory was sealed with goals from Abdulrahman Abkar in the first half and Ali Awadh Bujaloof shortly before the end of the game. The match showcased the National Service Academy’s strong performance and tactical discipline.
Following the conclusion of the match, HE head of the human resources at the Qatar Armed Forces, Maj. Gen. Fayez bin Faleh Al Shammari, presented the prestigious Cup to Staff Brigadier General Salem Masoud Al Ahbabi, the President of the National Service Academy. Participants in the tournament were also honored during the ceremony.
The National Service Academy team reached the final by securing a 2-1 victory over the Qatari Amiri Land Forces team. Meanwhile, the Joint Special Forces team advanced to the final after a tense penalty shootout win against the Qatar Armed Forces Band Regiment’s team.
