Doha: The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) announced the opening of registration for the Cybersecurity Summer Bootcamp 2024, which will run from July 21 to August 15. This dynamic program stems from a sense of social responsibility and is designed to enhance the cyber skills of the young, deepen their understanding of cybersecurity and digital safety concepts, and improve their ability to navigate the internet and modern technology safely and effectively. The summer camp targets 200 male and female students between the ages of 13 and 17 years old. Held for an average of five hours a day over 20 days, the camp will include theoretical and practical training conducted in both Arabic and English. Encompassing a wide range of activities, the camp will include theoretical lectures, intensive practical exercises, visual presentations, training packages and printed brochures, interactive games, information competitions, a cybersecurity consultation corner, cybersecurity penetration testing, an open entertai nment day, graduation projects, and field visits. Graduates will receive professional certification of qualification. The NCSA has indicated the conditions for joining the camp and these are: students must be enrolled in a public or private school in Qatar, receive a passing grade on a basic test on cybersecurity principles, and show full commitment to participate in the camp and its activities.
