Dr. Abdullatif Al Khal, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer and Director of the Department of Medical Education at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), has revealed that modern medical innovations have resulted in new technological medical devices invented by HMC doctors and registered internationally. These innovations include a developed mask to anesthetize patients who undergo surgeries and an upgraded anesthesia circuit innovation for children who undergo surgeries, as Al Khal explained. He noted that HMC has applied for new international patents for its doctors.
Al Khal emphasized that HMC encourages this trend and supports medical and scientific research, pointing out that modern medical equipment is upgraded and used to treat patients.
He highlighted that HMC is among the excellent institutions in the Arab world and across the globe, explaining that one of the pillars of this success is reliance on modern and developed technology related to medicine.
