Doha: Nomas Center of the Ministry of Culture, on Wednesday, concluded the 2024 summer activity which featured numerous workshops to maintain heritage, identity, and Qatari popular legacy. Director of Nomas Center, Maryam Al-Dosari, said the center held diverse events and programs that were intentionally directed toward various age groups, highlighting that the center wrapped up the summer activity with popular legacy programs organized at its premises in Al Dafna, and significantly drew a substantial number of female affiliates. The center offered an array of superb events of the Qatari popular heritage through organizing many workshops, notably the etiquette of Majlis (the place of receiving guests in a private house), and Fawala, a popular designation for hospitality which entails the etiquette of offering a cornucopia of popular candies and dishes to guests. In addition, the program featured sewing courses solely devoted to female affiliates to learn about simple sewing activities, as well as patrimoni al handcraft innovations and a workshop on making popular art dolls.
