NPRA holds coordination meeting

Manama, The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) has held a coordination meeting to review mechanisms to limit violations of the Labour Market Regulatory Law and Residency Law.

The meeting was part of the instructions of Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and the follow-up of the NPRA Undersecretary Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.

Representatives from the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, Tourism Ministry, Industry and Commerce Minister and Interior Ministry officials attended the meeting.

Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-up, Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Dossairi, hailed the cooperation with concerned authorities. He asserted the importance of cooperation and coordination to limit violations in Bahrain.

The meeting discussed increasing inspection campaigns in all governorates to cover commercial organisations, worksites and workers' gathering areas to ensure that labour and residency violations aren’t repeated.
