Occupation Forces Continue Assault on Tulkarm for 100th Consecutive Day

Doha: The Israeli occupation forces continue their assault on the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camp for the 100th consecutive day, and on Nur Shams camp for the 87th day, amid an ongoing escalation that has resulted in significant human and material losses. The violence has caused widespread damage to property and infrastructure, alongside continuous provocations against Palestinians.

According to Qatar News Agency, the city witnessed intensified movements by Israeli military vehicles and infantry units overnight and into early Tuesday. The forces obstructed the movement of Palestinians and vehicles, engaged in provocative actions and abuse, and fired live ammunition and stun grenades.

Over the past 100 days, the city of Tulkarm, its refugee camps – Tulkarm and Nur Shams – and surrounding areas have been subjected to a suffocating siege, repeated raids, and systematic attacks on homes and vital infrastructure. These operations have transformed the camps and several residential neighborhoods into military zones following the occupation and evacuation of many areas, accompanied by extensive destruction of infrastructure and private property. Main entrances have also been sealed off with earth mounds.

The ongoing assault has resulted in the killing of 13 Palestinians, along with dozens of injuries and arrests, as well as widespread devastation of homes and public services.

The aggression has further led to the forced displacement of more than 4,200 families – comprising over 25,000 individuals – from Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps. A total of 396 homes have been completely destroyed, and 2,573 others partially damaged, in addition to the closure of camp entrances and alleyways with earth barriers.
