The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned on Friday the organized terrorism and daily crimes committed by extremist settler gangs, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, the latest of which was their horrific attack on the village of Jit, east of Qalqilya, by randomly shooting civilians, destroying their property, and burning their homes, vehicles, and agricultural lands, which led to the martyrdom and injury of dozens of them. The organization considered this an extension of the open Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, their land and their holy sites, in a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, holding the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the consequences of the continuation of these heinous crimes. The organization also called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities towards the necessity of providing international protection for the Palestinian people, and ensuring an immediate a nd comprehensive cessation of this ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including the city of Jerusalem. The organization also renewed its call on the international community to compel Israel, the occupying power, to dismantle all colonial settlements and its terrorist militias in the occupied Palestinian territory, lift political and legal protection from them, classify them as terrorist organizations, and end the system of illegal colonial occupation of the land of the State of Palestine.
