OIC Slams Israeli Occupation’s Decision to Stop Gaza Relief Access

Doha: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Monday strongly condemned Israeli occupation decision to stop relief aid entry and close all crossings leading to the Gaza Strip. In a statement, OIC said that these illegal measures constitute a violation of international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Convention, as well as relevant UN resolutions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the organization added the illegal Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip is collective punishment and a crime against humanity that requires accountability under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. It also called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to take the necessary measures to put an end to the crimes of Israel, the occupying power, and its ongoing violations in the occupied Palestinian territory, and to ensure the adequate, permanent and unhindered access of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip.
