The General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage announced today, Tuesday, the reopening of Al-Mustansiriya School archaeological site to visitors in specific days.
The Head of the Authority, Laith Majeed Hussein, said in a statement, "The approval of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badrani, was obtained to open Al-Mustansiriya archaeological site in Baghdad to visitors during Fridays and public holidays."
He added, "The first week will be experimental, after which Al-Mustansiriya School will continue to receive Iraqi families and school trips during the academic year, as part of the Authority 's efforts to introduce archaeological sites and Mesopotamian civilization."
