Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed Thursday with Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland, who is currently visiting Pakistan, matters of mutual interest and cooperation in climate change and empowering youth and women. During the meeting, Sharif said that the government prioritizes empowering youth and women and dealing with the challenges of climate change. Scotland, for her part, said that Pakistan faces huge challenges related to climate change and is among the countries most vulnerable to its consequences, highlighting the strong work of the Commonwealth with Pakistan in the field of climate change.
