Bethlehem Together - Minister of Tourism Hani Al-Hayek received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Palestine, Ambassador Abdel Rahim Meziane, at the Ministry's headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Mr. Saleh Tawafsha. Al-Haik stressed the depth of the fraternal relations between the Palestinian and Moroccan peoples, this brotherly people who did not hesitate to support Palestine and its just cause before the world, stressing the need to develop prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and the field of preserving cultural heritage. Al-Haik spoke about the necessity of intensifying joint efforts to achieve direct networking between the Palestinian tourism sector and its Moroccan counterpart with the aim of attracting Moroccan tourism to Palestine within Palestinian tourism programs and users of Palestinian tourism facilities. Minister Al-Hayek said: The visit of the Arab brothers to Palestine is a visit to the prisoner and not to the jailer, and we in Palestine, in these difficult times that we are living in as a result of the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, are in dire need of a visit from our Arab brothers, and the Palestinian leadership, represented by President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Mustafa, are providing all forms of support and cooperation to achieve a visit from our Arab brothers to Palestine. The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Palestine, Ambassador Abdel Rahim Meziane, stressed the importance of joint work between Morocco and Palestine to achieve a qualitative development in the visit of Moroccans to Palestine, through Palestinian tourism and travel offices. During the meeting, it was agreed to extend an invitation to the Moroccan Minister of Tourism and Industry to visit Palestine as soon as possible, in addition to arranging joint and reciprocal visits between the Palestinian tourism sector and its Moroccan counterpart, in addition to discussi ng ways to support the promotion of traditional Palestinian industries in Morocco.
